EURETALENT- European Regional Talent Mobility Network
A network of European organizations for talent mobility is being developed within the framework of the Strategic Plan 2012-2016.
This project aims at creating a solid and dynamic network where the exchange of innovative practices between organizations from different European regions in connection with the management of talent mobility, the promotion of circular mobility or the improvement of the Triple Helix will result in an increase in innovation and competitiveness in our territory.

Achucarro Basque Center Neuroscience
In order to coordinate the actions to attract research talent to the Historical Territory of Bizkaia, bizkaia:talent has placed their location service at the disposal of the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience.
bizkaia:talent has placed at the disposal of the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience their location service, which aims at providing quality guidance and information regarding the move and the adaptation of the foreign highly qualified persons and their families who have taken up their residence in the Historical Territory of Bizkaia for work-related reasons. It is also for those persons from our Historical Territory who have been away from the Basque Country and return to their place of origin. The aim of both associations is to attract research talent to Bizkaia.
On the other hand, Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience will inform the scientists and researchers of Basque origin whose applications are rejected in their calls of the existence of bizkaia:talent, so as to give them the opportunity to be included in the automated files of bizkaia:talent.
Innobasque-Technology Innovation Board
Cooperation for the attraction, recruitment and engagement of talent and the promotion of innovation and social mobility.
bizkaia:talent and Innobasque are involved in joint action for attracting, recruiting and engaging talent, and for promoting innovation and social mobility. In addition, we have agreed to encourage coordination with other actors with capabilities and responsibilities in this area, promoting innovation, joining efforts and maximising action to transform the Basque Country into a reference in innovation at the European level.
Action focuses on the collaboration of bizkaia:talent with the Technology Innovation Board in the context of the i-Talde for the production, attraction, retention and mobility of highly qualified professionals for the Basque Innovation System, as well as on mutual cooperation in all initiatives in this area in the Basque Historical Territory of Bizkaia.

Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network: Saretek and bizkaia:talent
The Basque Science, Technology and Innovation System is a link centre node in the ERA-MORE European Mobility Network in the Basque Country.
bizkaia:talent is a partner of Saretek, a private non-profit organisation gathering the members of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network and an ERA-MORE link centre node. The EC European Mobility Network seeks to remove identified barriers to the mobility of highly qualified professionals and researchers and encourage their mobility between member States.
Ikerbasque Foundation
With the aim of recruiting research talent, bizkaia:talent has offered its Harrera/Relocation Services to Ikerbasque.
Bizkaia:talent has offered the Basque Foundation for Science, Ikerbasque, its relocation, giving quality information and advice on the relocation and integration of highly qualified professionals from abroad settling in the Basque Historical Territory of Bizkaia with their families. The relocation services are also targeted at Basque professionals who have been working abroad and are coming back to their homeland. Both organisations work to recruit research talent in Bizkaia.

bizkaia:talent has a cooperation agreement with these German organisations for the ongoing training of researchers, among other activities.
Bizkaia:talent has a cooperation agreement with the German organisations INI Foundation-GraphicsNet Stiftung and INI-Novation GMBH to support ongoing training activities for highly qualified professionals and scientists, business projects and HR recruitment for start-ups. The agreement also envisages tailored training for bizkaia:talent staff, for the development of a global business plan for the Euskadi Automotive Cluster-ACICAE.

The cooperation between bizkaia:talent and ACICAE is aimed promoting and facilitating the recruitment and retention of highly qualified professionals in the automotive industry.
bizkaia:talent’s alliance with the Euskadi Automotive Cluster-ACICAE is intended to promote and facilitate the the recruitment and retention of highly qualified professionals in knowledge and innovation processes for organisations in the automotive industry. Activities include regular exchanges of information, cooperation projects and joint initiatives for knowledge transfer and for the recruitment, management and retention of talent.
University of Deusto
Bizkaia:talent works with the University of Deusto in the development of a technology research centre.
The agreement between bizkaia:talent and the University of Deusto focuses on cooperation for the development of a technology research centre: the Deusto Technology Centre (DeustoTech). Both organisations are interested in incorporating this centre to the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network to assist other universities, research institutes and technology centres in the Basque Country.

University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU)-bizkaia:talent
Bizkaia:talent financed the development of a business incubator for technology-based companies at the UPV/EHU campus in Leioa.
Within the agreement it holds with the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), bizkaia:talent financed the development, operation and equipment of a new 600m2 technology-based business (NEBT) incubator. This facility is meant to support businesses in their pre-incubation and incubation stages.

CIC Biogune
The Structural Biology Unit is a centre of attraction for science in Bizkaia.
CIC bioGUNE (Biosciences Cooperative Research Centre) invested €16M in the development and operation of a Structural Biology Unit (2005-2008). Bizkaia:talent is part of this project, a centre of attraction for highly qualified professionals and scientists in the Historical Territory of Bizkaia.

bizkaia:talent and Basques 2.0 Fundazioa work together for the advertising and granting of the Basque excellence label: Made BY Basques.
Bizkaia:talent and Basques 2.0 Fundazioa hold a cooperation agreement for the encouragement and dissemination of knowledge of the Basque reality, as well as for strengthening the presence of the Basque Country worldwide. In connection with the latter, Basques 2.0 Fundazioa is working on a global programme known as ‘Use of the Basque Excellence Label: Made BY Basques’.
The search for excellence in business or professional enterprises at a global level is one of the goals of bizkaia:talent.
The agreement focuses on the sharing of knowledge and on cooperation for the advertising and granting of Made BY Basques, the Basque excellence label.

Eusko Ikaskuntza publishes information on bizkaia:talent’s activities and services at the events, trade shows and activities organised via its web portal, EuskoSare.
bizkaia:talent has a cooperation agreement with the Society of Basque Studies, Eusko Ikaskuntza (EI/SEV) for the promotion of the former’s activities and services at the events and trade shows organised by the latter through its web portal, EuskoSare.
In addition, both organisations support the promotion of Basque culture through the programme ‘EuskoSare, Global Basque Community’, operating on the basis of a global cooperation and communication network in the social, economic, cultural and educational spheres.
These activities are in line with bizkaia:talent’s strategic goals related to an active policy in the search and recruitment of highly qualified professionals and researchers.

bizkaia:talent and the Basque Centre for Applied Mathematics-BCAM work together in the recruitment and retention of highly qualified scientists and researchers in the field of applied mathematics.
Through bizkaia:talent, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia holds an agreement with the Basque Centre for Applied Mathematics-BCAM to significantly increase the number and scope of science and business R&D+i projects involving applied mathematics. To this end, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia will allocate a budget line to recruit and retain highly qualified professionals and researchers in the field of applied mathematics.
The need to promote projects in applied mathematics to incorporate this discipline to R&D+i is widely acknowledged, especially in the most advanced countries in the region.
The cooperation agreement with BCAM envisages an initial survey of the potential opportunities for interaction between applied mathematics and R&D+i sectors in Bizkaia, the ultimate goal being the use of advanced mathematical and computational tools in the science, technology and business fabric of this Basque Historical Territory.

Charles Landry-Bilbao Metropoli-30
bizkaia:talent and BM 30 participated in ‘Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia’, a project surveying the creative and competitive potential of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia.
Together with Bilbao Metropoli-30 (BM 30), bizkaia:talent took part in Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia, a study measuring the competitive potential of Bizkaia and the capital city, Bilbao, by assessing their capacity to recruit, retain and maintain labour adding value to the production of knowledge and innovation. The project, whose results were announced in 2010, was carried out by the renowned urban planner Charles Landry.
bizkaia:talent gave financial and active support to this project, participating the field research with several different actors of the Basque society.
In 1978, Landry founded Comedia, a prestigious European consultancy firm specialising in creativity, culture and urban change. With Comedia, he has carried out a high number of projects and delivered talks in many countries around the world. Landry works on projects aimed at the resurgence of the public, social and economic life of cities through cultural activities, urban design for the future, regional strategies or new arrangements of urban assets and potential.
He is the author of several books and publications, such as The Art of City Making (2006), The Intercultural City: Planning for Diversity Advantage (2007, with Phil Wood), The Creative City: A Toolkit for Urban Innovators (2000), Riding the Rapids: Urban Life in an Age of Complexity (2004) and Culture @ the Crossroads (2001, with Marc Pachter).
ESS (European Spallation Source)-Bilbao
Bizkaia:talent collaborates with the ESS-Bilbao consortium in the recruitment of highly qualified professionals working at ESS.
Highly qualified professionals and researchers working in the Basque Historical Territory of Bizkaia for the ESS-Bilbao consortium can use the bizkaia:talent relocation service. This is part of the organisation’s cooperation agreement with the consortium.
The bizkaia:talent relocation service was established to give information and guidance to highly qualified foreigners and their families settling in Bizkaia or to people who left the Basque Country and are coming back to resettle in their homeland.

A project to promote, boost and disseminate human and social values in the political, economic and social spheres in the Basque Historical Territory of Gipuzkoa.
bizkaia:talent is a collaborator in ‘Gipuzkoa Sarean’, a project developed by the Provincial Council of Gizpukoa (DFG) to promote, boost and disseminate human and social values in the political, economic and social spheres in Gipuzkoa with the aim of promoting and improving competitiveness and welfare in this Basque Historical Territory.
DFG-Gipuzkoa Sarean involves government agencies, private actors and top-class universities, including the Donostia-San Sebastián Town Council, the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce, the Gipuzkoa Business Association (ADEGI), Kutxabank, Mondragon Corporation (MCC) and Oxford University. With DFG as the leading partner, bizkaia:talent participates as an expert in the field.

bizkaia:talent, the University of Deusto and the Gaia Cluster (Basque Association of Electronic and Information Technology Industries) signed a cooperation agreement in an effort to meet the needs of SMEs for the application of advanced technology produced as a result of R&D+i projects. The idea is to bridge the gap between project results and small or medium enterprise needs, overcoming the shortage of location, adaptation, use and exploitation methods for products and services financed by public and/or private organisations.
The three actors are partners of the Centro3TZentrua project, focusing on the training of highly qualified professionals in the design of innovation management strategies, who can identify R&D developments, encourage their use, develop a product/service sale method and apply the results to existing SMEs or newly set-up companies.

bizkaia:talent and BM 30 participated in ‘Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia’, a project surveying the creative and competitive potential of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia.
Together with Bilbao Metropoli-30 (BM 30), bizkaia:talent took part in Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia, a study measuring the competitive potential of Bizkaia and the capital city, Bilbao, by assessing their capacity to recruit, retain and maintain labour adding value to the production of knowledge and innovation. The project, whose results were announced in 2010, was carried out by the renowned urban planner Charles Landry.
bizkaia:talent gave financial and active support to this project, participating the field research with several different actors of the Basque society.
In 1978, Landry founded Comedia, a prestigious European consultancy firm specialising in creativity, culture and urban change. With Comedia, he has carried out a high number of projects and delivered talks in many countries around the world. Landry works on projects aimed at the resurgence of the public, social and economic life of cities through cultural activities, urban design for the future, regional strategies or new arrangements of urban assets and potential.
He is the author of several books and publications, such as The Art of City Making (2006), The Intercultural City: Planning for Diversity Advantage (2007, with Phil Wood), The Creative City: A Toolkit for Urban Innovators (2000), Riding the Rapids: Urban Life in an Age of Complexity (2004) and Culture @ the Crossroads (2001, with Marc Pachter).

bizkaia:talent and BM 30 participated in ‘Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia’, a project surveying the creative and competitive potential of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia.
Together with Bilbao Metropoli-30 (BM 30), bizkaia:talent took part in Creativity in Bilbao-Bizkaia, a study measuring the competitive potential of Bizkaia and the capital city, Bilbao, by assessing their capacity to recruit, retain and maintain labour adding value to the production of knowledge and innovation. The project, whose results were announced in 2010, was carried out by the renowned urban planner Charles Landry.
bizkaia:talent gave financial and active support to this project, participating the field research with several different actors of the Basque society.
In 1978, Landry founded Comedia, a prestigious European consultancy firm specialising in creativity, culture and urban change. With Comedia, he has carried out a high number of projects and delivered talks in many countries around the world. Landry works on projects aimed at the resurgence of the public, social and economic life of cities through cultural activities, urban design for the future, regional strategies or new arrangements of urban assets and potential.

This facility is meant to support businesses in their pre-incubation and incubation stages.

bizkaia:talent, the University of Deusto and the Gaia Cluster (Basque Association of Electronic and Information Technology Industries) signed a cooperation agreement in an effort to meet the needs of SMEs for the application of advanced technology produced as a result of R&D+i projects. The idea is to bridge the gap between project results and small or medium enterprise needs, overcoming the shortage of location, adaptation, use and exploitation methods for products and services financed by public and/or private organisations.
The three actors are partners of the Centro3TZentrua project, focusing on the training of highly qualified professionals in the design of innovation management strategies, who can identify R&D developments, encourage their use, develop a product/service sale method and apply the results to existing SMEs or newly set-up companies.

The agreement signed by bizkaia:talent, Lanbide (the Basque Employment Service) and the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) is aimed at developing the right cooperation framework for joint action in the study and analysis of labour market insertion and career development by UPV/EHU students, as well as the surrounding circumstances and other relevant factors.
